A-Z Databases
Find the best library databases for your research.
PubMed comprises more than 29 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to free full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites. PubMed does not provide access to the subscribed full text articles. However, the special Khalifa University PubMed link (PubMed@KU) connects PubMed records to KU's library subscriptions and inter-library loan services (to request articles we do not own). Each PubMed record abstract page should have a Full text @ Khalifa University link in the upper right corner of the screen. Clicking this link will connect PubMed to the library's resources/ Inter-library Loan page.
Embase is one of the largest databases for researching biomedical literature and includes citations from around the world. It also provides information on drugs and pharmacology, medical devices, clinical medicine, and basic sciences. It offers indexing with Emtree for subject terms, and it allows you to build searches using the PICO framework. Embase includes 32 million records from 8,500+ journals.
