Standards ensure safety and compatibility

Standards include

• Definitions of units, terms, abbreviations
• Rules
• Guidelines
• Methods
• Specifications
• Testing and analysis procedures

Standards are developed by governments, companies, or professional societies or organizations such as ASTM, ISO, NIST, ASHRAE, ASME, IEEE.

Khalifa University Library does not yet have a standards collection except for IEEE.  They must be ordered as needed.
