This guide will explain what is H-index and how to find your H-index in web of science, scopus and google scholar.

Adding citations and calculating h-index

Go to Google scholar here.

Sign to your Google account if you have one or create an account if you don't have one.

Create a Google scholar account, add all your information including your University and email address.

The profile you will create will be private unless you choose to make it public.

Click on my citations to add your information

Click on next and start searching for your publications and add them to your profile.

The last step is choosing to update your profile automatically or you can do it manually.

Then click on go to my profile to view it and make any changes you like such as making your profile public or private, you can add a profile picture too if you like.
