KU Medical Library Orientation

This guide will help you get started using medical resources in the KU Library.

Books at the KU Library

You probably think of books when you hear the word "library". The library has many print books, including a section devoted to medical-related titles located on the 3rd floor. To search for print books, you can use the Library Catalog searching by title, author, and keyword. The catalog will show you if the book is available and which campus it's located at. If the book is not available (checked out currently) or located at the other campus, you can place a hold to request it. When it becomes available you will be notified by email.

The library also has many e-books. Two good sources for medical e-books are ClinicalKey Student and Access Medicine. See below on how to find books in these databases.
