This is a quick simple guide to introduce Google Documents and other Google Docs services

What is Google Docs

 

Google Docs functions and specs:

Provides smart editing and styling tools.

Includes hundreds of fonts, links, images, and drawings.

Access, create, and edit documents anywhere anytime, from your phone, tablet, or computer, even when there is no connection.

Collaborate with other users on the same document at the same time.

Share with anyone, edit in real-time, chat and comment on the document.

All changes done to the document are automatically saved as you type and edit.

Can use revision history and see old versions of the same document sorted by date and who made the change.

Convert Microsoft Word files to Google Docs and vice versa.

Open edit and save Microsoft Word files with the Chrome extension or app.

 

How to use Google Docs:

Login to your Google account or go to https://docs.google.com/ then login with your Google account. Once you're logged in, click on the Google Docs icon 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you want to create a new document click on the plus sign to start a new document / Blank or you can choose from one of the templates available.

   

You can start using your document just like any word document and you can print, edit, and share too.

You can create different folders. 

You can upload documents in any formats PDF, word, excel, images, multi media etc.

You can share your document by clicking on (Share) 

Give a name or title to the document and save.

Enter emails of who you want to share the document with and click Done.
