Searching with HIP

Basic search
If you know the author’s name or book title, you can search by either of these in HIP and conduct either a specific author or title search. If you don’t know the author or title then, conduct a keyword search. Keyword means a word or a couple of words from the title or subject of the item. HIP will provide the book’s call number where you can find it on the shelves.

Advanced search
The advanced search option allows you to limit your criteria such as language (English or Arabic), collection (General Collection, Multimedia, Maps, New Books, etc.), location (Arzanah or Habshan Library).
