The administration of Khalifa University is committed to encouraging and supporting faculty to use Open Access (OA) publishing for their scholarly work. This site will give you more information about what Open Access publishing is, how to go about publishing your article, and how the university will support you throughout this process. Publishing your work via OA will make it freely available to everyone in the world, which will increase your reach as well as further support the mission and goals of the university. Using OA also allows you to retain the copyright to your work and allows the university to put all such articles into Al Khazna, the university's institutional repository, which will also increase the visibility of your work.
At this time, the university has agreements with Wiley, ACS, Elsevier, IEEE, Taylor & Francis, and Frontiers to publish a number of OA articles per year. The university will financially support authors who publish articles that are published in journals that are rated in the top 15% (as determined by Scopus) and that are produced by those publishers. You can click here to see more information about how this works. There are tabs on this page for each of those publishers with details about the process of publishing with each of those vendors, as well as links to the list of approved journals for each publisher.
Khalifa University has an Open Access Publishing Policy that you can read here.
You can read about all the possible options for getting support from the university here.
